Cassie held her chest as she sobbed in the cab of a total stranger, the ride felt unending, and her heart hurt like it was pierced with a knife. She felt betrayed, liked to, she felt like a total fool. How could they keep something like that from her? If they had an explanation why didn’t they tell her before tonight? What was she thinking?
