Chapter 29

  • Two weeks had gone by in a blink of an eye, it was barely a week to Christmas and the cold had gotten so much worse. The house felt emptier without Mr. Adams and Alexander, though Cassie spoke to them every day, it wasn’t like having them at around. The boys had been so busy with the launch, but Cassie couldn’t help the sickly feeling that they were avoiding her since the incident with Alex
  • Even Brandon had been coming over more often, trying to keep her company and listen to her new ideas for her new book. Brandon did tell her that Alex and Aaron had been on the edge lately, trying to perfect the launch and everybody had been on their best behavior around them.
  • Cassie could not relate, she had barely seen them nor had an actual conversation with them. They would leave before she got up and would come back home way after she had gone to bed. The first two times she slept off in the living waiting for them, they didn’t even come home, so she gave up on waiting. She just couldn’t wait for the launch to be over so she could actually enjoy the holidays and of course, address the elephant in the room.
