Chapter 7

• Lauren's POV
• "I thought you said it was because I was close to his room" I told Gloria who just shook her head at me.
• "You smelt like that even when I first met you. When I woke up at the hospital, it was the smell that got to me and I thought my grandson was around."
• " I have never seen any case like this before. I mean the only difference is how intense and domineering Ryan's scent can be at times." Lily added as we all waited for Gloria.
• "First, I want you to try to lie to Ryan" Gloria told me.
• " You know that's impossible, nana" Ryan answered her and Gloria insisted that I do it.
• "Okay, something simple, how old are you?" Ryan asked me.
• "25" I answered him and he turned to Gloria.
• "That's a lie, she is 21"
• I was confused so Gloria explained to me that it was impossible to lie to Ryan due to his power.
• "What power exactly?" I asked.
• "I didn't introduce him earlier, this is Ryan my grandson and the Alpha of all Alphas" Gloria said looking at her grandson with so much pride. "And I think you guys are fated mates"
• "Fated what?" Ryan asked as I stood up from my chair and inched closer to the door.
• "Don't run away my dear, listen to me first" Gloria told me and I reluctantly sat down back.
• "Gloria you know I once had a mate" Ryan said his face concorting like he just tasted a lemon.
• "Same here" I told Gloria and Ryan turned to look at me, something like pity flashed across his face.
• "According to the tales, every werewolf is blessed with the chance to find a fated mate if they have been wronged by their chosen mate. So you can break your bond with your chosen mate when you find a fated mate."
• " I thought that was just a myth. The myth says a chosen mate is the one pairing by the goddess of the moon but a fated mate is blessed by all gods and goddesses, if I remember correctly" I told Gloria as I remembered that I read something like that in the book in the library.
• "Exactly, a fated pair is very rare and the signs are usually the smell, the fact that you can't use your ability on your fated pair and also a tattoo"
• " I dont have a tattoo" Ryan said.
• " Untill the full moon comes out and you give yourself the bite, that's when it comes out"
• " What if all of this turns out to be wrong even after the full moon" I asked Gloria since this whole situation had me confused. Of course, I felt the attraction to Ryan, he was the first person I noticed when I stepped into the room and I could smell him from my seat.
• "We just have to wait till the full moon then" Ryan said.
• I excused myself from the room without waiting for anyone's reply and I headed straight to my room. I sat by the window so I could see what was happening downstairs. Grace was standing outside surrounded by other kids holding a wooden sword and it was obvious she was the leader.
• Having a mate is something I have always been interested in. Everyday I prayed to find someone who was mine alone and I got Jay who chose my sister over me. Ryan had a chosen mate just like I did but I wasn't sure if they died or they just separated. It felt like we were each other second choice.
• Gloria came into the room after a while to speak to me. She told me she didn't want me to feel pressurized because she helped me and to just give it a trial. She left and I was alone till I slept off and woke up due to a dream I had.
• "I am sorry" I apologized to Lily as I bumped into her on the stairs.
• "It's fine, I know you are still a little bit confused about the whole situation and you and my brother need to talk"
• " That's not it , I had a really confusing dream you know"
• " Did someone say dream , I am an expert at translating dreams" Gloria said as we stepped into the living room.
• I sat beside her as I narrated the dream I had to her. This wasn't my first time having that same dream but I haven't had any in a while.
• "I know that the white wolf is me but I don't know who the black wolf is. Wait Gloria the wolf has your type of eyes just golden rings."
• " That would be me" Ryan said as he took a sit opposite me.
• "Oh, hi"
• I noticed that everyone stood up and began to walk in different directions leaving just the both of us.
• "I don't know if you feel the same attraction I feel towards you. My wolf especially recognizes you and trust me he wasn't this happy when I found my first mate"
• " I do feel the attraction and so does my wolf. I am just a bit skeptical, I found my mate last week but due to some things he didn't want me and I want to take anything I get into slow"
• " Well then, if it is fine with you I would like to court you" Ryan said standing up and stretching his hand out to me.
• For a minute I remained sitted and when he smiled at me I felt like I was safe and happy again.
• "I like flowers, a lot of flowers" I told him as I took his hand and we went outside. Gloria smiled at us as we stepped out holding hands while Logan kept winking and rising his brows.
• "Why are you holding my tutor's hand?" Grace asked walking up to us.
• " Because I like her"
• "She still has to teach you not to be dumb and besides I met her first" Grace stood beside me and she also held my hand.
• Everyone sat outside watching the children play while dinner was been prepared. I sent a silent prayer to the goddess for me to find an home here.
