Chapter 2

• What but he is my mate" I looked round at my parents and then back at my sister and Jay.
• "Karina has been training to be my Luna ever since and she fit the position perfectly" Jay said.
• "But what about me, you know I am your mate ,don't I get a chance too"
• "Lee" my sister said walking up to me and holding my hands," Jay loves me and we have been together since forever and we don't need a mate bond to prove that we are right for each other. Jay may be your mate but I can't give him up he is mine".
• "Lauren, listen to your sister ,you will find your own man and besides you are not cut out to support an Alpha" My dad told me as he tried to play advocate.
• I looked at Jay who avoided my eyes and also my mom to see who would support me but none looked me in the eyes and I couldn't stop tears from falling.
• "No" I shouted snatching my hands away from my sister
• "Don't be selfish, Lauren" My dad said and I turned to him in shock.
• "Selfish?" I asked laughed hysterical and I saw my mom take a step towards me. " All my life,I have never had something or someone for myself, everything Lauren no your sister needs this, your sister is more important,your sister this, your sister that. You guys never cared about me and I never made you guys proud,you couldn't even be decent and throw me a birthday party. Now I have found someone who is supposed to be me but Karina gets to have him too ,I hate all of you and everyday I wish I wasn't born into this family" I wiped my tears angrily and stomped upstairs ignoring my dad's shouts.
• I locked the doors to prevent anyone from coming in and I cried myself to sleep. The next morning, my mom knocked to let me know my father and Jay had a solution to the problem. I went downstairs and saw my parents along with Jay,my sister and two guards.
• "So I know last night wasn't eventful so I found a solution" Jay said while looking straight at me. " My wolf doesn't like the idea of you being with another person and it isn't making things easy for me and your sister. So we decided that I would mate with you to prevent my wolf from going crazy and still marry your sister".
• "What?" I asked disgusted.
• "Lauren listen,you just have to mate with him whenever he needs to you to calm his wolf and that way you get your mate and your sister gets her husband." My father said smiling like he just found the solution to world peace.
• "Fuck no, I refuse to let myself be used as a toy in this fucked up scene you have all concorted" I stood up and took a deep breath before I spoke again. "I don't want Jay anymore, Karina you can get married to him just let me be"
• "I was hoping we would not have to come to this " Jay said as he stood up and the two guards grabbed me.
• "Let me go , what do you want with me?" I yelled as I started kicking and shouting.
• "If we have to force you we would,we can't have you risking the future of our pack" My father said as I walked towards me with a syringe.
• "Mom ,mom please let me go" I screamed at my mom who had tears in her eyes.
• "Martins" My mother called my dad and she shook her head.
• "This is the only option we have" My dad told her and I saw my mom look away as my dad injected me with the syringe.
• My shouts died down as I felt my body become heavy and everywhere went black. When I woke up again it was in a small room with a tiny window, I didn't know how long I had blackout. I couldn't even cry anymore as I was tired and drained. My mind went to Gloria who would be waiting for me to teach me more things . After some time the door opened but the bars remained there and I saw Karina.
• "Why are you doing this to your self,Lee" Karina said as she looked at me angrily.
• "You guys did this to me"
• "Just agree and everything will go back to normal, don't you feel guilty mom is constantly fighting with dad and Jay's wolf is being crazy."
• "And I am supposed to care?" I turned my back to her and she left after a while. I wasn't sure how many days had passed as only my dad and Karina came to visit my everyday without food or water. One night as I was about to sleep, I heard my mom's voice at the door.
• "Lauren"
• "How long have I been here mom?"
• "Two days, Lauren "
• "It feels like I have been here for years" I said laughing and I turned to look at her properly.
• "Here I brought you something to eat" my mom said pushing a small plate into my room.
• "Why should I trust you?"
• "Just eat it" My mom snapped at me and I picked up the plate to eat the toast. She waited till I was done, gave me water and took the plate.
• "I don't think you are supposed to feed me"
• "I am a useless mother you know,I followed my husband's words till it ruined our family. I am at fault and I am sorry for how I made you feel all those years." My mom apologized to me while crying and I was too shocked to reply.
• "I am going to get you out of here one way or the other. Your father wants Jay to force mate you tomorrow before planning the wedding with Karina and I can't let that happen to you,just hold on for me okay" She said and I nodded as she left.
• My mom's apology to me came as a big surprise to me even though she wasn't as mean as my dad was to me. Sometimes, she was nice to me and got me things but nevertheless she still ignored me and gave a lot of attention to my sister. After the meal I had I felt a bit better and I went to sleep only to be woken up by someone shaking me.
• "Blake?" I sat up rubbing my eyes to see properly.
• "We have to get you out of here before they all wake up"
