Chapter 1 After Tonight, I Will Be Good To You
- In the dimly lit room...
- Lying in bed, Wynette Yancey felt her body heating up and weakened, wondering where she was.
- Click!
- The door opened.
- Through the dim light, she saw a tall and imposing figure walking towards the bed.
- "Who are..." She couldn't finish her question before the man's heavy body pressed down on her with an overwhelming force!
- Wynette tensed up instantly, raising her hand in a panic to push away the stranger, only to find his body temperature was even higher than hers!
- She didn't know him, and his unfamiliar presence panicked her, making her desperate to push him away.
- However, the man caught her hands, and a deep, enchantingly husky voice fell. "Raelyn, after tonight, I will be good to you..."
- Her body stiffened. Raelyn? Who is that?
- Has he mistaken me for someone else?
- She didn't get a chance to speak as his lips pressed down with an imposing force.
- "Mmm..." Wynette's breath trembled, and she couldn't stop shivering. "Let... Go..." Her resistance was futile against his heavy body.
- This shouldn't be happening... She was supposed to marry Fred tomorrow!
- If she lost her virginity to a stranger tonight, how could she possibly marry him?
- Tears started flowing as she frantically tried to push him away. "No..."
- Please let me go...
- But the man treated her as the one named Raelyn, overwhelming her with a barrage of kisses.
- Her heart nearly stopped at that moment as her tears fell even harder, overwhelmed by helplessness and fear.
- The man didn't notice her tears; he was becoming even more uncontrollably engrossed.
- "Ah..." Her cries of pain rang out; she was tainted!
- She had wanted to save her first time for her wedding night, for her husband, but it was stolen by a stranger!
- Wynette felt like dying. What did she have to be Fred's bride tomorrow?
- As dawn broke, she awoke from exhaustion, alone in the bed and hearing water running in the bathroom.
- She frantically woke up and dressed as she had to rush to the hotel for her makeup, considering she was supposed to marry her boyfriend of four years today.
- As she left, she knocked over an dark jade ring belonging to that man from the table.
- Taking the ring, she clutched it tightly in her grasp with eyes that burned with fire toward the bathroom. I'll be back for you.
- Wynette arrived at the hotel's makeup room—early and alone.
- She approached the pristine wedding dress that Fred had someone tailored specifically for her. Although she wanted to give the attire a try, she noticed red marks on her neck and on her chest in the mirror's reflection.
- These are marks left by that stranger!
- If she arrived at the wedding with these marks, everyone would blame her, humiliating Fred in the process.
- No, such a disgraceful scene cannot be tolerated. I can't let Fred bear this shame.
- Tears kept falling as she gently touched the wedding dress. I have to make this painful decision.
- I have to be a runaway bride.
- At the crowded station, she wore a mask and a long-sleeved attire that covered her entirely
- "Today, the young master of the Ziegler Family, Frederick Ziegler, was meant to walk down the aisle, but his bride ditched him at the altar…" came the news report from the station's TV.
- I'm sorry, Wynette apologized repeatedly in her heart. As she stood up, the tears pooled in her eyes as she dragged her suitcase away.
- Ten months later, in the maternity ward of a town hospital, Wynette lay on the delivery bed. Her contractions reminded her that her child was about to make an entrance.
- "Push!" the midwife scolded urgently.
- Wynette clenched her teeth and pushed through the pain before the cries of wailing greeted her. Her child was finally born, but the pain nearly knocked her out cold.
- "Congratulations. It's a boy."
- A boy?
- She looked weakly at her newborn son's wrinkled little face. I'm sorry, my son, to have you born fatherless.
