• Colin's now bloodshot eyes roamed around the reception worriedly. "Is this some sort of sick joke? What kind of school loses a child!"
• Mrs King was beside herself with fear, trying not to imagine all the worst possible scenarios. She tried again, to calm him down. "I assure you she'll be found, Mr Anderson. She's undoubtedly around, somewhere. I didn't see them leave..."
• "Of course you didn't! Where the heck are they then?" He cut in angrily, his jaw clenching tensely.
