Chapter 8 What's She Hiding?

  • JAYDEN
  • I watched Gordon leave before I hurried downstairs. His wife was doing some task in the kitchen, so I ignored her and went straight to his study.
  • After what happened between us last night, I have been having this intense desire to fuck and mark her. Her scent constantly drove me crazy, even when she was not there.
  • I will confess that I have this awesome plan to fuck her up and make her useless for Gordon, but right now, I think I'm the one getting fucked because why the hell will I keep thinking about her?
  • Why did I still keep remembering the feeling of having my shaft deep in her throat? The feeling of having my fingers buried in her warm wet pussy?
  • What the damned hell is wrong with me? Why is my mind still thinking of the slut? Why can't I get my thoughts straight?
  • I hurried into his study, to check on his files. The sight of his beautiful wife made me forget what I came over for, and that's to fuck Gordon up for all he did to me.
  • I won't let that man rest, not after everything he did. I will fuck him up so badly and have him on his knees for the crimes he committed.
  • There wasn't much to see in his study. He kept his important information locked and the few ones I saw didn't mean anything.
  • Damn it!
  • How do I get to crack the code without letting him know of my plans?
  • He still thinks I'm the naive boy he knew, not knowing that I'm back to destroy him. And I won't rest until I have him utterly obliterated.
  • I paced his office, going through the files on his desk and his mini library, but I found nothing relevant in them.
  • “Fuck him!” I tugged hard on my hair, desperate to get my hand on the most indispensable file — the royal family's tree. I need to see for myself if what Ada told me is true.
  • I need to know if the man I once called father is who he claimed to be, or who she told me about. I just don't know what to believe again, and it's driving me crazy!
  • God damn it.
  • I made to leave, but my right leg hit his table, and a piece of paper fell. My eyes immediately went to it, and I picked it up. With my heart hammering loudly in my chest, I opened it, only to drop it after reading the first line.
  • The letter is dated back to the year I was born. And it was addressed to my supposed father's best friend, Evan.
  • My hands shook as I read through the letter. My throat was clogged with so many emotions that it made me desperate to hit something — anything at all. Just to expel the emotions going through me.
  • “Fuck!”
  • I threw the paper on the ground and sat on the table. My hands shook and my chest constricted.
  • I already knew what I was up against, but tried to deny it. I already know the truth of my birth and what happened after that. That night was a black day for the royal family. It was the day I lost those that mattered to me.
  • I slowly picked the paper up and continued reading. The more I read, the harder it was to breathe.
  • I gasped, staring at the letter like a fool, wondering what the hell was going on.
  • Half of what Ada told me is in this letter. The evidence of the conspiracy that took the lives of many because of a ritual gone wrong and the truth of who Gordon is.
  • I folded the paper back and stuffed it where I found it, but not before taking a photo of it. I need as much evidence as I can find if I need to get justice for my family.
  • I continued to search his office, hoping to find something else like the letter, but I found none. It seemed like he forgot to hide the letter as he did the others.
  • But I'm not worried. Since I found the letter, I will find everything and get to the root of the matter. I will solve everything soon and avenge those who need to be avenged.
  • Something caught my attention from my peripheral. I turned to see the little, cute slut running through the property.
  • I was stunned for a moment until I was left to wonder what the hell she was doing out there. She has changed out of the gown she wore earlier, for breakfast.
  • Though I didn't pay much attention to her this morning, I know what she was putting on. And it sure as hell isn't this red dress. She was putting on a black body-con dress that would have made her look bad, but she managed to look good in everything she wore.
  • Her golden hair isn't constricted. She let it flow. And when she ran, it looked like a shawl — albeit a beautiful one.
  • I watched her run, mesmerized by the beauty in front of me. I tried to deny that I wasn't admiring her when it was obvious as day that I was.
  • I have never met someone as beautiful as she is. I have dated my fair share of women from the time I turned sixteen, and happened to be almost everyone's type, but I have never met a woman like her.
  • For the first time since I learned that I'm not human, my other self felt eager to mark her and make her ours. Which is why I must keep my distance from her.
  • Someone willing to live with Gordon, out in a place far from civilization can't be trusted. There is no telling why she got married to him.
  • Perhaps, Just like him, she has something she's hiding. And just like that, I got the desire to know what she was doing in the forest.
  • However, before I could step out of the house, I discovered that she was nowhere to be found. The slut has disappeared into a thick forest.
  • What the hell are you hiding, Chrys?
  • I stared at the trees before I took a step towards them, eager to know what she was doing in the forest when she was not supposed to be there.
