Chapter 44 A Gift

• The fight I had with my father left me looking almost like the dead. I'm more than grateful that there was no one around when I stepped into the house, else I would have had a lot of explaining to do. Jayden only knows that I'm not a human; however, he doesn't know why I'm living in the human world.
• I went to my room to change, waiting for my body to heal before I left. I know Jayden won't come to my room because it's almost time for Gordon to return. None of us will wish to be caught by my husband.
• I stayed in my room until my bones were righted, making me look as if I didn't just fight with my father.
