• I had a good night’s sleep, which surprised me with the knowledge that Mack is in the Pack-house. I know he wouldn’t take a female Pack-member to his bed, but it doesn’t mean the female won’t try to seduce him and I hear Fortune softly growl as that thought runs through my mind. Dad had breakfast waiting for me when I came down stairs and now I am getting dressed for our meeting, a meeting I am not looking forward to.
• I agree with Fortune that lying to Alpha Dax wasn’t an option, not because he would have found out we lied. No, we wanted him to know who was responsible for the demise of Luna Elyse’s nightmare and we will enjoy going after this target with vengeance. “Alpha Dax is here and he doesn’t look happy.” Dad says as he peeks around my door, he looks at me as if I have an answer for him and we all know I have no idea what Dax is so unhappy about.
