Chapter 1 First Encounter

  • At the gynecology department located in a private hospital…
  • Standing outside the VIP hospital ward, a middle-aged man bleakly asked his wife, Lu Lili, “Are we really going to do this?”
  • “We’ve discussed this a long time ago. Don’t tell me you want to back out on your word now that the time has come?”
  • The middle-aged man sighed, “I’m sure that you’re well-aware of Cen Yao’s disposition. She’ll never forgive us upon discovering that we’ve sold her out like this.”
  • “What’s there to be afraid of? If we keep our lips sealed, she’ll never know. Anyways, she’ll be asleep, so it’ll be over before she even knows it, with no traces left behind. It’s not a complete loss for her, either.”
  • Cen An paced along the corridor, shaking his head as he prepared himself to enter the room, “No! We can’t do this!”
  • “Come back!” Lu Lili tugged her husband, “Can you stomach this without a tinge of regret? The legacy that the Grand Master has so painstakingly built will be destroyed in your hands! Don’t tell me that you’re willing to let Cen Xuan go, being reluctant about Cen Yao carrying it out instead? She’s merely sixteen years old. Can you bear to do this?”
  • Upon uttering these words, Lu Lili broke down, weeping softly. This in turn, unsettled Cen An so much that he had decided to steel his heart.
  • “Alright, stop crying. I’ll follow your lead.”
  • With her husband’s reassuring words, Lu Lili wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes, her lips curving into a smile.
  • “That’s more like it!” exclaimed Lu Lili.
  • Six years forward.
  • At Bu Enterprise, outside the CEO’s office.
  • “Ahh… Mr. Bu, slow down… Uh uh… I can’t take it anymore…”
  • Dressed smartly in a business suit, Cen Yao was standing outside the office door. Although the door was shut, Cen Yao could distinctly determine the sounds of unrestrained moaning drifting out from inside the office.
  • In the secretaries’ office, whilst everyone’s faces had turned pasty, Cen Yao’s expression remained as calm as still water. Despite the growing sounds of lovemaking resembling war-cries, Cen Yao managed to uphold an unfazed expression on her exquisite face.
  • “Mrs. … Mrs. Bu, the CEO is a little occupied…” explained Assistant Lu hurriedly.
  • “I can gather that much.” As Cen Yao opened the door to enter, Assistant Lu swept his cold sweat away, behind him.
  • It… it was like apprehending an unfaithful spouse red-handed. Being his wife, she was far too composed!
  • The door suddenly opened to reveal the naked body of a woman, sitting on the desk, with her legs spread apart. The woman started panicking, “Who… who are you? Don’t you know how to knock before entering?”
  • Compared to the stark nakedness of the woman, Bu Ziang’s clothing was immaculate, except for his undone trouser zipper.
  • Gazing impassively at Cen Yao while continuing to embrace the woman in his arms, Bu Ziang proceeded with his greetings, “Morning, Mrs. Bu.”
  • “Mrs. … Bu?” The woman on the office table was so startled, to the point where she had started to gape.
  • “Morning, Mr. Bu,” greeted Cen Yao, nodding slightly, a hint of pride emanating from her beautiful face.
  • She placed some documents on the table, “This is the progress report for project number 2023. Do take a look at it when you’re free, Mr. Bu.”
  • Bu Ziang stared at the woman, who did not have a single crack of emotion on her face. As if venting out his frustration, he retaliated by rubbing the body of the woman in his arms.
  • “Do you think I’ve got the time to read it?”
  • “Uh, Mr. Bu, that hurts…” whimpered the woman.
  • Cen Yao chuckled, “You’re right. You certainly don’t look free now.”
  • Picking up the phone from the table, she pressed the extension, “Assistant Lu, please enter.”
  • The four words were spoken with resolution.
  • As Assistant Lu entered, he bore witness to this spectacle, which had instantly caused his entire body to break out into a cold sweat.
  • Would he get implicated in the capture of a cheating spouse?
  • “Your CEO has announced that he’s too preoccupied to look at the documents. Please stand here to read it out to him, before getting him to sign it. I’ll be back for the documents in ten minutes.”
