Chapter 46

• My heart sinks as I think of something happening to harvey. I rush to the pack house, apologizing to the people I almost bump into on the way. When I reach the hallway outside Harvey’s office, Jason and Tyler greet me. I hear a loud crash from inside the room and Jason explains that harvey got a phone call and has been like this ever since.
• I take a deep breath and open the door a little to take a peek inside. harvey is slumped in his chair and throwing his fist onto the table while cursing under his breath. His eyes keep shifting from grey to gold, which means River is angry too, but I don't know why.
• "Hey," I call out softly. His eyes soften at my words and settle on their usual beautiful, bright grey. I realise it might have something to do with me calling him 'baby' for the first time. "What's wrong?" I ask as I make my way over to him.
