Chapter 31

• Things have been going great between Harvey and I these past few days. We've been spending a lot of time together, both in human and wolf form. Jade loves going on runs and playing with River, and she believes that being close to River will help strengthen the bond between Harvey and i. I'm not sure if she's telling the truth or just trying to make excuses to spend time with her mate. I've made Harvey watch chick-flicks with me multiple times, while he's been trying to get me to watch horror films. He hasn't been successful yet, since my whining and puppy-dog eyes have been enough to convince him to watch action movies or thrillers instead. He's been respecting my decision to take things slow, so we haven't gone any further than making out, although that's been happening a lot.
• Harvey has decided to hold my Luna ceremony after the Christmas season. Even though werewolves don't usually celebrate Christmas, Harvey’s pack uses the occasion to throw a huge party. It's basically just an excuse to bring everyone together and have a good time. I would usually visit my Mom for Christmas, but she has chosen to spend it in Europe with paul. I'm glad she's finally letting loose and enjoying life. I still haven't told her about Harvey, but I know I need to have that conversation with her soon. I'm scared that bringing up mates and packs will reopen old wounds. But the fact that I'm staying here changes everything. I can't keep my entire life from her. I have ten days until Christmas, so I still have some time before my life changes. Today I started working at the pack hospital, and I ran into Louis on the way there. We both head to Dr. Olivia.
• Williams' office was the next stop, and when they arrived, they were greeted by a middle-aged man with dark hair and brown eyes. He said hello to Louis and shook his hand before turning to me.
