Chapter 41 A Sea Of Tensions
- Cecilia
- Liam left the decision in my hands, but honestly, I have no idea what I want to do. In fact, I know perfectly well what I don't want: to be alone with Liam. The situation is absurd, and even more absurd is the fact that I feel strangely attracted to this fake, rude, and inconsistent husband. The decision, however, is taken out of my hands when someone knocks on the door of the room we're in. Liam and I stare at each other in astonishment. It's clear that we both fear opening the door and finding Valentina on the other side. She probably had romantic plans for both of us, and the last thing we want now is to deal with the expectations of this charade. The atmosphere in the room becomes even tenser as we approach the door, and my mind races to think of a plausible excuse to avoid any compromising situation.
- As we open the door, we are met with a warm smile from Logan and Adriel, who enter the room as if they were the true owners of the place. A sigh of relief escapes me, disguising the tension that had dominated the atmosphere before.
