• When Cecilia expressed her boredom in the apartment, I understood the situation. However, when she mentioned wanting to work, I thought it was some kind of tasteless joke. Most women I know would love to be in the position of being married to me and have the resources to do as they please, but Cecilia didn't seem to fit that profile.
• The decision to bring her into the company didn't turn out as brilliant as I had imagined. Now, I would have to share the same car with her, which could lead to speculation about our marriage. I hadn't considered this aspect of the situation, and the prospect of spending time in the car with Cecilia, sensing her subtle perfume and hearing her soft sighs, was more uncomfortable than I could have predicted.
