Chapter 31 Necessary Distraction?

  • Liam
  • I didn't intend to start another argument with Cecilia. Just the memory of the frustration bubbling inside me from the previous night, when she simply left me talking to myself in the living room and marched towards the guest bedroom in my own apartment, was enough to ruin my day. It was a dynamic I didn't fully understand. Cecilia had agreed to the convenience marriage proposal, and I, in turn, had committed to fulfilling my part of the agreement to meet my father's whims and secure the presidency of Ricci Enterprises. However, daily life was turning into a constant battle.

That was entirely unacceptable and would only complicate things between us. Adding the sexual element to this mix would only further confuse matters and cause significant problems in the future. The fact that Cecilia was entirely different from the women I had been involved with before, showed no romantic or sexual interest in me, and was unsuitable for my father's plans made her the perfect choice as a bride.
