• The pack house seemed unusually calm this morning at least for some days now. The whispers and sideways glances that seemed to follow me for the past few days had reduced a lot, replaced by an almost eerie quiet. It was as if everyone was holding their breath around me and waiting for the next shoe to drop. I, for once, welcomed the relief from the constant talks and speculation. Maybe, just maybe, things were finally returning to normal except for one thing.
