Chapter 81

• Ashford pushed Luna behind a tree when they reached the pack. The pack was filled with those creatures. They had long, sharp claws, razor teeth, and red eyes, and they looked huge. Luna frowned. Those creatures could tear up anyone with one pull. She felt anger building within her when she saw a few dead bodies lying on the floor.
• "I wasn't expecting them to be like this," Ashford said.
• Just then, Luna stopped a pup on a tree above the monsters. He was clutching tightly to the branches, and the one he held was snapping. Luna's eyes widened; if the kid could fall, he was going to fall to his death. The monsters were going to get him, so she moved away from the tree she was hiding.
