• "The person came in through here and then left a bloodied note on the front door," Adrian said.
• He stood over the lifeless body of a man he barely recognized. Beta Alex was also present, holding a flashlight over his body. The deceased man’s neck was twisted, and his face was etched with a look of terror. It was as though he had witnessed something truly horrifying just before his heart was ripped from his chest. Adrian turned the body over, revealing a mark on his neck with something moving within it.
• "We saw similar bloody notes on the doors of almost every house," Beta Alex replied.
