Chapter 10 A Warning

  • The last person Aurora ever expected to meet at the kindergarten. Aurora glanced at her briefly before walking past her to get her kids.
  • Sara was surprised. She wasn't expecting that Aurora would be in a place like the kindergarten as well.
  • She has finally come out of her hiding. Perhaps she has encountered Ethan and been begging him with her body.
  • Her husband and Aurora have been having affairs. He was making love to her and was moaning Aurora's name. Oh, she understood everything perfectly.
  • She had Ethan all day and only came home to say he was not interested in doing it with her. She had to warn Aurora to stay away from her husband.
  • She saw Aurora walk out holding two boys in both of her hands. She looked proud of her kids and the three were giggling towards the car when Sara called her.
  • Aurora opened the car for the kids and let them go in before turning to look at Sara. She's not the old Aurora Blake that can be bullied by others and only take solace in her tears.
  • "Yes, Sara Blake. What can I do for you?" Aurora inquired, walking with her shoulders raised and staring at Sara.
  • Sara raised her brows. Aurora had changed. She was not as timid as before. She almost regretted calling her in the first place.
  • "I see you are out of your hiding. Well you are welcome to the spotlight. But I don't want to have issues with you anymore. Hence I have to warn you on what might cause trouble between us.
  • Stay away from Ethan Thompson! He is my husband and I don't intend to share him with you. I know you are seducing him already and having sex with him.
  • But that has to stop. If ever I get a clue that you are still seeing him, I will make you regret ever being a member of Blake family.
  • I am warning you now so that I won't appear as an unscrupulous sister. If you don't want me to ruin you totally and turn you into a street beggar," Sara warned, glaring at Aurora angrily.
  • There was nothing such losers like Aurora wouldn't attempt. She wanted to trap Ethan and get pregnant for him so that she could use that to get everything she ever wanted from him.
  • Well, she won't give her a chance.
  • She was an illegitimate daughter and she can't bring an illegitimate child into her home and marriage.
  • Aurora looked at her from head to toe. She hissed between gritted teeth and walked away. She got into her car and drove off.
  • What was the use of wasting words with the likes of Sara? It was too demeaning of her to do something so degrading.
  • Sara was so angry she almost exploded. Insolence, twat, silly twat. How dare she walk out on her? Who gave her the nerve?
  • She could make her disappear from the city forever. Aurora didn’t even apologize for trespassing on her husband and yet had the audacity to hiss and walk away?
  • She would make her suffer for her disrespectful attitude. Just because she now sleeps with Ethan, she thinks she's equal to her?
  • Sara stomped her feet angrily and walked away. She had come to pick up her nephew but didn’t expect to run into Aurora.
  • "Who's that lady, Mummy?" Tim asked. He saw the contempt in the woman’s eyes and sensed she was bullying his mother.
  • "Oh, that woman? She's not important enough to discuss," Aurora answered. There were some people she didn’t want to introduce to her kids. Sara was definitely one of them. Her kids should be kept away from those mean-spirited people.
  • "Did she bully you, Mum?" Tim asked further. He was ready to get even with anyone who dared to bully his mother.
  • "I didn't give her a chance to bully me, darling," Aurora answered with a smile. He was so caring, like a big brother to her.
  • "If anyone tries to bully you in the future, let me know. I will tell them to stop," Tim declared.
  • "Yes, Tim, and I will deal with them so they know they bullied the wrong person. I'll use my Mafia-style fighting to pluck off their ears," Lee Blake declared, clenching his fists.
  • Aurora smiled, "Okay, I'll tell you if anyone tries to bully me in the future." She looked at her children warmly. "I have you two to defend me now."
  • She couldn't stop thinking about Lucas Harrington. Why was there such a strong resemblance between him and her boys? Could he be the one who fathered her sons?
  • But Ethan and his conspirators said he was a hooker. There’s no way a rich guy like Lucas Harrington would reduce himself to being a hooker.
  • Maybe the resemblance was just coincidental. He definitely couldn't be the father. One day she would stumble upon the man and find out who he really was.
  • **
  • Things continued as they were supposed to, and after three days, the jewelry design she was asked to create was ready, and the client was invited to see it.
  • When ex-soldier Clinton saw it, he was satisfied and praised Aurora wholeheartedly.
  • He said he couldn't think of a better design than what she had made.
  • He was a little skeptical when he was told the designer was newly employed. He had reluctantly agreed, taking it with a pinch of salt, and looked forward to seeing what she would make.
  • But seeing it now, he was more than satisfied and wished to partner with them long-term. He gave Aurora some money as a token of his appreciation and told her he would keep asking her to make more designs for him.
  • Aurora was happy. The first job she did was appreciated. She would focus on making new drafts and designs. She would use her earnings to buy special presents for her kids.
  • Lucas was pleased. If his brother were here, he would be impressed with Aurora's work. He would pass on Mr. Clinton's positive feedback to him.
