Chapter 50

• Chelsey's view.
• In the dimly lit room, I stretch out my sore, aching limbs. Cain's warmth is overwhelming, but it makes you feel the most at ease. His thick arms wrapped around me from behind. I'm surprised to feel how hard he is this morning. I thought I had broken him. He jumps when he hears the door unlatch, but then he settles back down and groans against my neck.
• "Oh no, I'm not going anywhere..." I laugh while he groans sleepily in his arms. We had a crazy night, and for a second I almost forget the news we got and put my hand on my stomach. His hand comes up behind mine and curls around it.
