• Cain's view.
• There's just a hint of Jessie's blood, but I know it's hers. After ripping that poor girl's heart out, he must not have washed his hands enough. My pack is on either side of me as we search through the woods for his scent but can't find it. Fuck! My growl tightens my pack, and I slash my talons into the tree in front of me, splitting the wood and cutting deep into it. What a scumbag! How is he getting away from us? I turn around and groan when I see Hanz talking to him.
• "How the f*** did he get through! Too close to the house for that smell! He was fucking keeping an eye on her!" He barks at the other dogs in the pack, but he whines a little at me.
