Chapter 9 Brother

  • Julia returned to the car with her brother, She fastened her seat belt and then looked at her brother, “Didn’t I send a driver to come pick you up from the airport. How do you always manage to get yourselves in situations like this?” She asked him, but Michael just fastened his seat belt and didn’t bother to reply to any of her words., “What about the driver?!” She asked him again.
  • “I couldn’t wait for him.”
  • “I really can’t take this any longer. Can you please stop making things hard for me. I am already having one of my toughest time thanks to Mom and Dad”
  • “Why are you acting like it is my fault that I asked to be born!” Michael couldn’t take it anymore and flipped at her, “I also don’t want this life. I never asked to be born!”
  • “Then are you blaming me for it?! Why don’t you blame your sperm donors. I don’t care what you do with your life, but the least that you can for someone like me, is to not cause any trouble for me! This is the 5th time that you getting expelled from school!”
  • “That is because you refused to come each time something happened. Did I ask you to miss of it? You were called as my family but you never came and now you blame it on me1” Michael raised his voice at her as words spat out.
  • “Don’t you dare raise your voice at me! Are you some sort of superman? Why do you like butting in on things that have nothing to do with you…” Julia slammed the staring and glared at him, “And, If you could at least speak to others that way then you won’t have to need my help all the time! I have my own life to love too.” She sighed and looked away. Starting the car she drove out of the station. Their ride back home was silent as no one said a word to each other until they got home.
  • As soon as the car stopped, Micheal got down from the car and entered the house leaving Julia alone in the car, “For how long will I put up with his attitude.”
  • She got out of the car and went inside, The chef walked up to her as soon as she entered, “What is the matter?” She asked the Chef who sighed.
  • “The young master has refused to eat. He just went in and locked himself up.”
  • “I will talk to him. You can go home for the day.” She rubbed her hand around her hair and walked upstairs. She made her way to Michael’s room which is direct opposite to hers.
  • She knocked on the door, and called out to him,“Michael.” But she received no response.
  • “I am sorry for the way I talked to you earlier. You know how much I love you. So why don’t you come out and eat, My heart hurts when I see you starving.” She spoke softly against the door but her face never changed in the slightest way.
  • “There is no need to pretend. I will come out for dinner.”
  • Hearing his response, Julia smiled brightly, “Thank you my darling little brother. I will be waiting for you, so hurry up.” She sighed and left the door, “For how long will I continue to endure that’s brat’s character.” She mumbled to herself and returned to her study.
  • Why waiting for her brother, she reviewed the camera of her vacuum cleaner, Going through it, The view of she writing the proposal and throwing it out was very clear, and the view of Austin sneaking into her study and searching through her things, then going on to pick the proposal that she threw inside the trash can.
  • She hugged her laptop and laughed out loudly, “Hahahaha!!!” She hugged her laptop tightly as she leaned on her seat laughing wildly.
  • The door opened as she immediately sat up straight and let go of the laptop, “You are out of your room.” She smiled
  • Michael thought of the sight that he just saw, the sight of it made his skin crawl, shuddering he asked, “Are you crazy? Why are you laughing like that?”
  • “I am just too happy...”
  • “I don’t care, let us go and eat.” He walked out of the room before she could even finish what she saying.
  • “Did I not train him well? Why is he only rude to me?”
  • She sent the footage to Bella, with a note attached, “Look for a perfect time and post this. Make sure it hurts both parties.”
  • After sending out the message she made her way to the living room, and saw Michael already eating without waiting for her, She shook her head already used to the attitude that he always showed her.
  • She sat down and dished out food for herself, then looked up at him, “Why did the school suddenly expel you?” She asked him while she ate.
  • “It is not like you care. You never came once.” He didn’t look at her and continued eating.
  • Julia’s eyebrows furrowed as she took a bite of the food, “But I took care of everything at the end, didn’t I? Honestly, life would be so much better for us if you stop your act of justice. Your therapist said that you haven’t been coming.” She looked up at him and asked.
  • “It is nothing. I don’t even remember what caused my trauma, So why should I have therapy?”
  • Julia looked down at her food, before she realized it she already bent the spoon she was holding with force, “Of course you don’t remember. That is the life of an irresponsible person who doesn’t take responsibility for their action.” She threw the spoon on the table and stood up.
  • “Have a goodnight.”
  • Michael watched her leaving back and sighed, She was always like this. For him, he knew he had this trauma for as long as he could remember but not what caused it, he felt nervous and anxious in front of others even his parents, and he doesn’t speak to them. It feels as though he was lost his ability to speak if in the face of anyone that is not his sister.
  • He also wants to know what caused this, but he can’t seem to remember. And his sister has a grudge against him for a reason he doesn’t know about…
  • While he was still deep in thought, Julia returned to the living room, “Go and sleep. Your school invited me so we would be going there tomorrow.” She announced to him and walked away.
  • But even with all that, he understands and knows that she seems to be the only person who cares about his life.
