• Elena ran all the way to her bedroom and shut the door the moment she was in. She wasn’t running from anyone in particular, she had run off from the dining room after Leonardo misbehaved with her- at least, that is the way she saw it.
• She jumped on the bed and buried her face in the pillow while shedding tears like an infant. It had just dawned on her that her life was ruined; yes, practically it was!
• First, he was a prisoner to this crazy Mafia lord who had made her do horrible things in the name of grooming her, and now she was a fugitive in the outside world, a wanted criminal. Her life might not have been entirely in a mess before but now it was pretty fucked up.
