• Edwin stirred awake, his eyes fluttering open to the dim, pre-dawn light filtering through the hotel room curtains. For a moment, he lay still, staring dazedly at the window, watching as the darkness outside slowly gave way to a faint glow. Suddenly, a smile crept across his face as he remembered what the day held in store. The thought of seeing Lance sent a jolt of excitement through him, propelling him out of bed and into the bathroom for a quick shower.
• As he stepped back into the room, towel wrapped around his waist, Edwin reached for his phone to check the time. His smile widened as he saw a text from Lance waiting for him:
