Chapter 115 Salvation
- Just like Kimberly had promised, the first place he headed after seeing Edwin off at the airport was the hospital. Andy lay peacefully, appearing more asleep than comatose, while various monitors tracked his vital signs. After adjusting the fresh flowers he'd brought, Kimberly whispered a soft prayer for Edwin's father before heading out. He just hoped that everything would work out perfectly for Edwin; as for the father, he would keep the man company till Edwin returned.
- The hospital parking garage was eerily quiet at this hour, fluorescent lights casting harsh shadows between concrete pillars. Just as Kimberly reached for his car door, a violent yank pulled him backward, causing him to stumble. Pain shot through his shoulder as he spun around, only to freeze at the sight before him.
- "Dad?" he whispered, eyes wide with shock.
