• "I'll see what fate deals me," Annabelle told him, hoping he was satisfied with her answer and that he wouldn't pry any further. "Look!" She pointed out to the skyline where the top part of the full moon was just rising over the hills, glad that she had something to change the topic with. "It's beautiful."
• "Hmm-hmm," he murmured as they sat watching its ascent. "You know what the rule is when the Ferris wheel reaches the top, right?"
