Chapter 97 Vacation End
- “You are hellbent on catching a cold, aren’t you?” Killian muttered while Kalea whined, unwilling to leave the water. He gathered her into his arms but my wolf was stubborn. Rather than go willingly, she suddenly moved, pushing him so hard he stumbled. “Come on now.” He tried again but Kalea wanted to stay out. I did too so I quietly laughed at her antics. “Kalea,” he growled when my wolf trotted back to the water. In the end, he gave in to the temptation of spending more time outside.
- Outside of the palace, I enjoyed the freedom of being an ordinary wolf and it was a welcomed reprieve from the constant worry of what was happening or what would happen. Here, I could live as if I had no troubles, no burdens and no responsibilities. I almost wanted to continue here for as long as possible. Spending time with my mate was the best and it was something we never actually got to do since we got together.
- “Cucumbers? Who likes those?” He snorted, his fingers playing on my shoulder.
