Chapter 69 Love that is a Constant
- “How – Why did you never mention that to me?” I asked Killian after Cedric left. He pushed his hand into his hair and leaned back in his seat, his eyes gazing everywhere but at me. “What are you hiding?” Thinking of him keeping secrets from me made me unexplainably bitter.
- Remembering how secretive I had been in the past made me too embarrassed to be angry. Then, I did not trust him and I felt it was best to hide things. If he was hiding things from me now, he must have a good reason but I hoped his reason was not born out of distrust.
- “Stop looking at me like that.” He was about to push his hand into his hair when he paused, choosing to fold his arms across his chest. “I am not sure so there was no need to mention it to you.” I nodded as if I understood but a sudden chill had spread inside me that made me wonder if I had caused an unknown rift in our relationship with how I acted towards him in the past. What if he did not trust me?
