Chapter 410

• It was the last day I had to spend with the Lunas from the packs under Valens and I had confirmed that these women were indeed wonderful people. All but one of them was older than me and I loved how they took me in. Although they still tried from time to time to create a distinction between us based on status, I much preferred being their friend than being treated like a boss of sorts. In the days since they came here, I managed to get solid insight into the other packs under my mate and I made friends with three of the women. Anna, who was old enough to be my mother, Beth who was only five years older than me and Kayla who was a year younger. All these women were wonderful in various ways.
• They suggested a shopping outing for myself and my baby and I was all too willing to oblige. Work piled up on my desk but missing them already, I was willing to drop everything to spend even a few hours with them.
• “Since we don’t know the baby’s gender, we should buy both male and female sets,” Anna said. “I think these are cute.” She held up a set of onesies with a bright smile on her face.
