Chapter 66 Backed Up
- There were snide comments here and there, from how awful the king’s birthday banquet was, to how the refreshments being served were subpar. Grace commented that she had better in her ‘village pack,’ her words, not mine. Avery, a fashion designer, nitpicked my dress. It looked cheap, it was unflattering, in fact, it was an insult for me to wear such a dress to a meeting with such dignified women.
- “Her Majesty would not know any better. You know – considering her background.” Edith said with pity in her tone. “The goddess is truly amazing, mating a maid to the Alpha King – what a dramatic change of fate.
