Chapter 52 Her Confession
- “Again, I am terribly sorry.” Cedric continued to apologize throughout the ride back to the palace. I ignored him. He was callous enough to make me sick and worsen my sicken with a fake potion which I thanked him for. He deceived me and he would not be apologizing if I never found out.
- Rather than dwell on his betrayal, I thought of my parents. My father deceived my mother into a relationship and proceeded to exploit her. Victoria and Sylvester. For the first time in my life, my parents had names and I even had a face to my mother. It was a bitter-sweet moment for me. Now, more than ever, I wished to meet my mother. Was she still out there? What was she doing? Would I ever meet her? And my father, should I look for him? Considering how he had been described, he did not seem like a good person.
- ‘Still, he is your father,’ my wolf said. ‘If we can find him, we should.’
