Chapter 31 I Will Not Yield

• When Violet woke up the next day, she realized her pillow was drenched in her cold sweat after a long night's dream. She then crept off her bed and charged her phone before heading to the bathroom to get herself refreshed. As for the terrible experience she had the night before, she could still remember bits and pieces of it, recalling the moment she was trapped in the dark lounge alone with her phone battery dead.
• Just when she was about to be overwhelmed by despair, she saw Henry, but tried as she might, she couldn't seem to recall what happened after that. Nonetheless, his appearance was like an angel who descended from heaven to rescue her, and the thought of that made Violet blush and her heartbeat race. Suddenly, her phone rang and interrupted her train of thought, bringing her back to reality. She immediately rushed out to answer the phone call, only to realize it was from Hailey.
• "What took you so long to pick up the call, Violet? Something big has come up!"
