• “Alex, dear, I’m sorry to call so early,” Martha’s warm, familiar voice came through the line, tinged with a hint of urgency. “I just wanted to let you know that Caitriona is leaving for Scotland today. She’s flying out this afternoon, and it would mean a lot to her if you could come to say goodbye.”
