• But before he could scold me again, the waiter arrived with our food, diverting Liam's attention to his sweets instead.
• I sipped my coffee as he dove straight into his food. Though it was still quite sweet and had a nice roasted flavor to it, the coffee still wasn't quite the same in comparison to the one that Jane made for me every morning, making me wish for Jane's touch in the kitchen instead.
• I chuckled softly as chocolate got smeared across Liam's cheek within seconds and reached up to wipe it off for him. Despite his little body, he managed to down all his sweets and a bit of the frittata with some coaxing in just a few minutes.
