Chapter 3 The Torture Room
- The room became silent after Sofia's stubborn reply. Everyone was staring at her, and she was staring back at them stubbornly.
- “I like her already. She looks so interesting.” The man sitting on the couch opposite Sergio Vincenzo said, a giant grin on his face.
- Sofia rolled her eyes at his statement.
- “You should just kill me already.” Sofia folded her arms and mumbled.
- “Martina,” Sergio Vincenzo groaned out, and the lady standing a few feet away stepped forward.
- “Yes, Capo,” Martina answered.
- “Break her. When she's completely broken, bring her to me.” Sergio Vincenzo ordered, his eyes fixed on Sofia.
- Hearing the word break made Sofia's heart race. She knows the meaning of the word break. And it was a bit different from the real definition.
- "Yes, Capo!' Martina went to Sofia and dragged her up to her feet.
- “Hey, watch it.” Sofia rasped at the way Martina was handling her. Martina did as if she hadn't heard Sofia and started dragging her out.
- The three guys in the room kept watching as Sofia was dragged out.
- “What do you want to do with her?” The man sitting on the couch asked Sergio Vincenzo.
- “Breaking her. What does it seem to be?” Sergio Vincenzo answered.
- “You'll make her work for you afterwards?” The man standing asked, coming to sit beside the man sitting.
- “Yes, I suggested he doesn't kill her, Carlo.” Rocco sighed and went to sit down with them.
- “That's a good suggestion,” the man who has been sitting shook his head.
- “You also think so, Angelo? I feel killing her could be a waste of nature's resources.” Rocco smirked.
- Angelo and Carlo laughed.
- “She's stubborn, she might not even last,” Carlo said.
- “And that's what makes her interesting to watch,” Angelo added.
- “I think she could bring a lot of money. Any of those idiots could pay handsomely for a night with her.” Rocco told.
- “Yeah, so she's going to work as a slut afterwards then,” Angelo said.
- “No, she won't work as a slut. I'll send her back to those who sent her and make her kill them. Then I'll make her kill everyone she holds dearly before trashing her.” Sergio Vincenzo spoke up.
- The rest of them kept quiet and continued staring at him as he finished.
- “Rocco get me Romero's contact, tell him we make the deal tomorrow.” Sergio stood up and instructed before leaving the sitting room.
- “Okay, I didn't expect that,” Angelo whispered.
- “Yeah, me too. Guess she's one unlucky bitch. Seems she has got on his nerve too quickly.” Carlo shook his head and grabbed the drink Sergio was formally drinking.
- “Guess so,” Angelo supported it.

- “Stop it!” Sofia snapped at Martina when they finally arrived where they are going.
- Martina never spoke a word all this while to her, and Sofia wondered if Martina could speak.
- “Sit!” Martina finally spoke.
- “I'm not going to sit.” Sofia refused.
- Sofia didn't expect the slap that landed on her face next.
- “I'm not giving you an option. I'm ordering you to sit!” Martina snapped.
- Sofia fisted her hand in anger and pain.
- “If you think you can get out of here alive, then keep being stubborn. I doubt you'll make it past here alive.” Martina hissed and left the room, shutting the big iron door.
- Sofia huffed and sat down on the chair there. They should just kill me, what's with all these? I didn't ask for this.
- A few minutes after Martina shut her in the room, the room started becoming cold. Sofia cuddled herself, convincing herself that she might make it.
- Funny how she wants to die but doesn't want to die. Sofia laughed at herself as the degree of the room decreased.
- Sofia started shaking, her body has turned cold, and she was sure her skin colour was already changing. It was as if she was put into a deep freezer.
- Shit! Sofia groaned through gritted teeth.
- She kept shaking and eventually gave in to her subconscious.
- **
- Sofia opened her eyes and looked around the room, everything was back to normal.
- “I'm still alive.” She mumbled and sat up properly. She coughed and sat properly on the chair. Her hair and clothes were wet, and she felt cold.
- Suddenly, the room started becoming so hot. Sofia liked it at first as it helped warm her body, but found out that this was her second torture.
- How many do I have to withstand before I am let out? Sofia wondered as she started undressing.
- The room was becoming too hot so quickly. It felt like an oven or maybe hellfire.
- Sofia stripped herself until she was only left with her bra and her pant. She was sweating profusely and no matter how she moved, the hotness kept coming.
- Sofia fell to the floor and started gasping out. She needed air, she felt suffocated.
- Oh, I'm going to die this time around. Sofia thought and lay down on the floor, but found out it was hotter.
- She stood up and sat on the only chair there, but the temperature in the room kept increasing.

- “She will die,” Rocco said. They were watching Sofia through the screen.
- “I feel she should die in there now. She'll experience things worse than death from capo if she survives that room.” Martina chipped in also watching the screen.
- “I want her to survive, tho,” Angelo smirked.
- “I should bring her out,” Rocco suggested.
- “Yes, do that.” Angelo supported.
- Rocco pressed the button on the wall and the iron door opened.
- He went in and met Sofia cuddled up on the floor.
- “So, what do you say now?”
- Sofia looked up at Rocco as he stood elegantly, staring down at her.
- “Do you want me to bring you out? Do you want to pledge loyalty to my boss and reveal everything to him?”
- “F…fûck you!” Sofia forced the words out of her mouth as she could barely speak as a result of her dry throat.
- Rocco's eyes widened at her reply.
- **
- Okay, I think Sofia is going to die this time. Why is she this stubborn?
