Chapter 2 A Stubborn Sofia

  • Sofia shut her eyes and waited for the bullet to pierce through her head. One of the heavily built men was called to shoot her.
  • He was about to shoot her when Sofia heard Rocco's voice. “Wait,” he ordered, and the man stopped. Sofia didn't know what they talked about, but the man ended up dragging her outside to the passage.
  • There, she saw Sergio Vincenzo's remaining guards. They were about fifteen.
  • Goodness, why didn't I see any of them while coming up here, did they all hide somewhere or what? Sofia was getting confused.
  • And why was I brought out here? She wondered feeling anxious.
  • She remembered the small knife that was still with her and got hold of it.
  • She didn't understand why they weren't even bothered about the knife. She could kill any of them with it, but they don't seem bothered enough to take the weapon away from her.
  • They all looked fearless. Maybe they aren't afraid to die.
  • The door opened and Rocco came out.
  • “Take her to the car,” Rocco instructed the men, and they grabbed hold of her and started taking her down the hallway.
  • “Wait!” She called out to Rocco.
  • “Yes?” He turned to stare at her with an emotionless face.
  • “Why aren't you killing me?” Sofia asked.
  • Rocco smirked and went in to meet Sergio without answering her question. The men continued taking her down, they entered the elevator with her and took her down to the ground floor of the hotel.
  • She saw many workers, but the workers pretended not to witness anything as the men dragged her away.
  • She kept looking at the security guards, but they all turned away.
  • This might be his hotel because everyone couldn't have turned a blind eye if it were not his. I heard the Vincenzo family own many hotels, casinos, clubhouse, bars, and companies.
  • They were filthy rich. The richest family in the whole of Italy. Shit! How did I get into this situation? Sofia sobbed silently as the men threw her into a black jeep and locked her there.
  • Sofia rested her head on the car seat and bit her lips.
  • How do I get out of this situation?
  • There is no escaping, a tiny voice from her head replied to her.
  • “Shit!” Sofia cussed and stabbed the seat multiple times with her knife.
  • I should just kill myself before they kill me. I don't know what they intend to do with me. Perhaps torture me into telling them the truth and finally kill me?
  • No! I don't want to go through that shit! I prefer not to get tortured. Dying now is a better option for me.
  • Sofia thought and brought the knife to her neck. The door opened and Rocco popped his head in.
  • “What are you doing?” Sofia got startled and moved towards the other end of the car.
  • “Give it to me.” He demanded, Sofia took the knife behind her.
  • “Are you afraid you'll lose your opportunity to kill me?” She scoffed, rolling her eyes.
  • “Hand it over, now!” Rocco barked at her. Sofia didn't react to this, even when her heart was pounding against her rib cage loudly.
  • She was sure that he was even hearing the sound of her fast-beating heart.
  • Rocco sighed and came into the car, he dragged the knife and throw it out.
  • “You're right. You are not entitled to take your life, your life now belongs to Sergio Vincenzo. He owns you, you sold yourself to him. He'll do whatever he wants to do with it. Understood?” Rocco eyed her before getting off.
  • “Take her away!” Rocco ordered the men outside after getting off.
  • **
  • Sofia was dragged down from the car and was taken to the Vincenzo prison house. She was locked into one of the cells and left there.
  • Sofia kept pacing up and down, wondering what next to do.
  • She knows she can't fight the men defending the prison house. She was not a fighter, she only knew some method on how to defend herself.
  • The main method she uses in trapping her victims is mostly seducing them. Sofia was hot, so she decided to use her killer body to good use.
  • But the men outside didn't stare at her twice. They all don't seem fazed by her body or looks, so she can't seduce them into letting her out.
  • Sofia kept pacing about and eventually got tired.
  • *
  • Sofia forced her eyes open after sleeping for hours. She doesn't know how many days she has been staying in there, but she was sure that it's been more than 3 days.
  • Her stomach groaned at the lack of food, but she ignored it.
  • They probably want to kill me by starving me. It's cruel, but I'll endure it. She thought while messaging her stomach.
  • Suddenly, she started hearing the doors outside being unlocked. The door opened, and a man came in.
  • “Stand up.” He ordered her, but Sofia pretended like she didn't hear him.
  • He mumbled some inaudible words and dragged her up before pushing her out of the prison house.
  • Sofia closed her eyes as the sun greeted her face.
  • The man began taking her somewhere while she struggled to keep her eyes open. She saw guards standing at direct posts and corners of the building.
  • They finally arrived at a building that looked like the main building before the man took her in.
  • “Capo, she is here.” The man announced.
  • Rocco signalled for the man to bring Sofia in, and he obeyed.
  • The man made her kneel in front of Sergio. She refused to kneel at first, but the man forced her to her knees.
  • She looked up and saw Rocco standing behind Sergio Vincenzo, who was sipping wine from his wine glass.
  • She looked around the wide sitting room to see a lady about her age standing a few feet away from them, but her attention was focused on Sergio.
  • She also saw a man sitting down on a couch opposite Sergio's own, he was staring at her.
  • Sofia heard footsteps approaching and turned to see who it was. She found another man approaching them. When he got closer, he leaned against the couch and looked up at Rocco.
  • “Is she the one?” The man asked.
  • “Yes,” Rocco answered.
  • The man looked down at Sofia, and Sofia stared back at him stubbornly.
  • She saw him smirk.
  • “She is an interesting one.” He smiled.
  • “So, are you ready to tell me the truth now?” Sergio spoke up, his eyes finally settling on her.
  • Sofia scoffed and looked away.
  • “No!” She replied, stubbornly.
  • *****
  • Lol, I think Sofia is a stubborn one. What do you think of the story so far?
