• Landon holds my hand and we begin to head out of the bedroom together as we continue talking about his mother’s fondness for books. I felt so happy that his mom welcomed me and Ben like we were part of her family. She didn't make me feel out of place and I am thankful for it.
• We stumbled our way to the kitchen and Landon was right, Mrs. Thompson did prepare some food. Tons of food. She was even putting it all out on the table like there was some party inside. I watch her as she places a slice on Ben's plate and he is happily smiling and thanking her.
