• His sharp gaze pierced through me, sending an unimaginable fear within my body. It was more than just an intimidation, and for a moment, I felt a strong force from him, like a beast eyeing its prey.
• “I don’t know what you’re planning to do, but it’s best if you stay in your room,” Jack said, heaving a deep sigh. His eyes softened a little after a while. Even so, his knitted eyebrows were telling me he was pissed. “Don’t go outside or talk to anyone besides your maid.”
