Chapter 5 The Four Alpha Kings
- Eloisa’s POV
- My first kiss! I touched my lips, still feeling the sensation brought by his warm and soft lips.
- I blinked my eyes several times, pinching my arm to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. But why would he do that?
- “Piss off, Spade Winter,” Dustin grumbled, glaring at the man by the window.
- Spade Winter… I wondered if Spade was also an alpha since I never heard much about him from the other girls. But he had the same commanding aura as Dustin despite his playful side. I knew that only the other rulers would dare tease an Alpha king.
- “What are you thinking about? We’re here. Stop dazing like an idiot. Let’s get going,” Dustin told me, grabbing me by the hand.
- Eh? That was it? Dustin was acting like nothing happened. I mean, I might be a slave but… Was it normal for werewolves to kiss and forget?
- We got out of the car, still holding hands with Dustin. After he told me all those harsh words, he kissed me and held my hand like it was nothing. We were heading inside the mansion when someone blocked our way.
- I turned to find a man with light brown hair falling casually across his forehead and striking blue eyes that seemed to sparkle with mischief. He wore a charming smile as he moved his gaze from Dustin to me.
- “Step aside,” Dustin demanded, his frown deepened.
- Spade smiled widely. “Yeah? What is it, brat?”
- Dustin’s expression darkened. “You heard me. Step aside. We’re here to see Jack, not to entertain you,” he said in exasperation.
- “Woah! Calm down. I’m not here for a fight or anything,” Spade replied, raising both of his hands. “By the way, who is she? I didn’t know you’re interested in toys, too.”
- Dustin clicked his tongue. “It’s none of your business. Piss off.”
- Spade just laughed it off, waving his hand in front of Dustin’s annoyed face.
- I didn’t expect they’d be getting along. I mean, Spade wouldn’t be annoying Dustin if they weren’t friends. Speaking of Spade, I noticed him checking me out since we arrived.
- “What’s wrong with him?” I muttered, keeping my voice down as I held Dustin’s hand tightly.
- I heard Dustin sigh, linking our fingers together. “Ignore him,” he said, dragging me to enter the mansion.
- The servants greeted us as we walked in with Spade following us. I felt a shiver down my spine when I felt his intense gaze boring from the back. It was becoming awkward, but knowing that he was an alpha, I couldn’t even voice out my frustration afraid I’d be dead the moment I opened my mouth.
- After taking an elevator, a servant was waiting to lead us the way. “The elder council and the Alpha of the Redmoon Pack are waiting inside,” the servant said, pushing the door open, revealing a grand room filled with an air of authority and power.
- The elders were seated around a large, ornate table, their eyes turning toward us as we entered. I could feel the weight of their gazes on me. At the head of the table sat a man with an imposing presence, his amber eyes scanning me with curiosity and scrutiny.
- He must be Jack, the alpha I was meant to serve. His aura was intimidating, but that was not all.
- “Unbelievable,” I whispered.
- While the other girls admitted that werewolves were attractive, especially their males, I still couldn’t agree until I laid my eyes in front of a handsome Alpha. I found myself staring at his honey-like colored eyes peeking behind his messy black hair almost covering half of his face.
- Jack Archer was indeed handsome!
- “You’ve arrived, Dustin,” Jack spoke, his voice deep and commanding. “Is this the one you’ve brought for me?”
- Before Dustin could respond, Spade stepped forward with a playful grin. “Oh, so you asked him for a woman. You should have told me instead. What happened to your goal of ‘looking for your mate’? Giving up already?”
- “Hah! Spade,” Jack said, his tone unchanging. “Always making an entrance,” he grumbled, massaging his head.
- Spade chuckled, his eyes never leaving mine. “I can’t help it. The woman Dustin brought for the first time is quite a catch. Ain’t you a lucky man?” He said, nudging Jack with his elbow.
- The room fell silent when Spade approached me, his gaze intense and unwavering. “I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself earlier, so let me do it now. I’m Spade Winter, the ruler of the East. May I know your name, lovely lady?” He said, his voice smooth and captivating.
- “That’s enough, Spade.” Dustin stepped in just before Spade could take my hand.
- I looked up to see Dustin’s serious expression. He was clearly not happy with the way Spade was interacting with me. “This isn’t the time for your games,” he added.
- Spade shrugged, his smile never fading. “Relax, Dustin. I’m just trying to make her feel welcomed.”
- Dustin’s grip on my hand tightened slightly, a silent warning. “She doesn’t need your kind of welcome.”
- Spade raised his eyebrow, looking amused. “Protective, aren’t we? Interesting.”
- The tension in the room worsened, and I felt like I was caught in the middle of a power struggle. Before I could completely process what was happening, the door opened once again, drawing everyone’s attention.
- A tall man with a sturdy build walked in with an air of confidence that was hard to ignore. He had blond hair that was meticulously styled, and his gray eyes were sharp and assessing. He carried himself with an elegance that hinted at both power and control.
- “Did I make it on time?” he asked, his voice low and authoritative.
- Dustin’s expression shifted slightly, a hint of relief crossing his features. “Yes, Tyron. You’re just in time.”
- Tyron… He must be the fourth Alpha king! I couldn’t believe I met the four of them in less than a day after leaving Mama’s candy shop!
- What powerful bad luck did my ancestors pass down on me?
- Tyron’s gaze swept over the room before settling on me, his eyes narrowing slightly as if assessing my worth. “And who is this?” he inquired, his tone piercing.
- “This is Eloisa…my present for Jack,” Dustin replied, his grip on my hand tightening by the second. “She’s going to serve Jack tonight.”
- My shoulders fell, surrounded by predators. I’d be lucky to make it out here alive, but I had to endure the humiliation in front of these people for a better chance of survival.
- Tyron’s gray eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a chill run down my spine. “Interesting,” he mused, stepping closer. “You’ve brought quite an intriguing guest, Dustin.”
- Jack, who had been silent up to this point, finally spoke. “Is she a human?” he asked, his amber eyes glowing as he looked at me.
- “A human slave, but she’s clean,” Dustin said, his nonchalant response cut through my chest.
- Jack’s gaze intensified. “A human slave to serve me in bed.” His hands balled into fists on top of the table and slammed them. “You must be kidding me,” Jack growled, glaring at me. “Kill her!”
