Chapter 16 Her Husband Boss
- “Here…keep the change”I said as I handed him money for my taxi fare. I immediately got out of the car and slammed the door and exhaled as I held my head, which felt heavy. The taxi drove away from there and I proceeded to the small gate, which was a little blurry to my eyes. The night was dark, the lights from the streets illuminated the place together with the giant light bulb my mom had put in front of our porch to make it fancy. I shook my head, shoving my mom's bizarre theories away, and dragged my tired self to the entrance of the house. The lights were on, and hence I guessed my mom was still awake. I was certain the time was after midnight or not, but whatever it was, I pushed the door open and to my luck it was open, and immediately I walked in. I stopped abruptly when I suddenly bumped into a box nearly falling, but I managed to keep my balance
- “What the…'' I muttered and looked down only to find many boxes placed in the living room. The small hallway which led to the kitchen and other rooms which were downstairs and somewhere by the stairs
- “Mom?” I called my mom as I stumbled to jump over the brown, heavy boxes blocking my way. I didn't know what Trisha was getting at, she was too much, and I wanted to know why she was causing trouble so late at night “mom…what's all this!?” I shouted once I got to the stairs, but before I could climb, my mom elegantly walked down smiling that I could see as I fixed my blurry eyes on her
