Chapter 100 On Her Own

  • “Mr. Ortiz, whatever it is please…it's best to let things cool down before” it was hard to reason with Manuel, who came to the hospital despite how sick he was. It was even worse when Chris said something about Valerie. The man seemed to have fallen for Valerie for real. His behavior was something else.
  • “Dave, are you sure it's good to let Manuel confront Valerie?” Sammy asked David as they waited outside Valerie's door. It was frightening knowing the woman had lied about something so delicate and serious.
  • "Why shouldn't he…she lied…let him get answers' 'David remarked as he sipped on his coffee. It was another day and Valerie regained consciousness just in time as her doctor was checking up on her. The news of her child's loss brought sadness. No matter how the woman caused her harm and pain. Sammy felt bad for her. Losing her child was heartbreaking and since then, Valerie had been crying non-stop. She was crying for her baby's back. Of course, Charlie and Chris said she was rather sad because she lost the only thing tying Manuel to her. She lost the only thing keeping her in Manuel's life, and now she had to face the consequences of her actions. All Sammy did was hope Manuel forgave her.
