Chapter 10 A Married Woman

(Sammy's POV)
My world came crumbling down when the so-called man who was interviewing me returned with a large box, which, I thought, was a gift box. I was happy and sipping the champagne when I was told the shocking news of a lifetime and choked on the liquid as I coughed violently trying to grasp for some air. Even when the man rushed to my side to help me calm down, I pushed him away as I lifted my head and fixed my cold sharp eyes at him that he slowly backed away from my evil eye with a piercing gaze which would drill through a soul if it could. I thought I was dreaming hearing what the man had to say and like a fool he repeated the words as if the news were something good.
“The contract you just signed is you approving to be Mr. William's part-time wife…your weekly payment has been sent already…kindly wear this wedding dress and wedding ring so that we can take pictures”he said seriously as if my anger were nothing, he shoved the box to me and my anger flared up. I couldn't breathe from rage as I rose to my feet and slammed my hand on the desk and threw daggers at him. What did they take me for, who did their boss think he was to just hire a wife as if it were his rights.
