Chapter 14 Marriage Of Comprise

• “So…what do you think?” he finished his sentence with a click of his index finger on the desk and leaned back in his chair and kept his gaze on me. I stood there pondering over his words. He made a good offer, something which I didn't expect from someone whom I disrespected the other night. The man was willing to put all grudges aside because he needed my help. His idea was a ridiculous one, something I was supposed to say no to and walk out, however I was standing before him fighting with my inner self on what to do.
• After a bad first encounter. I cooled down thanks to Charlie, who explained to me the situation. Apparently, the man I nearly fought with was the billionaire who wanted me as a wife. According to our encounter at the bar, his personality wasn't so pleasing. He looked like an arrogant man, a spoiled rich bachelor who thought marriage was just a game. Although I didn't intend to get married and settle down myself, I respected the bond of marriage a husband and wife formed because it was sacred. Either be it a love marriage or a forced marriage, and that was what I learned from my parents.
