Chapter 52 The Diamond Pearl

  • All the servants stood coldly, staring with uncertainty in their eyes and fear on their shoulders. No one knew who was going to fall victim. The diamond pearl was worth forty-five million dollars, according to Opula who had been ranting over the worth of the piece.
  • Fanny Luis, the billionaire, stood aside with his thunderous face held out as he waited for results; this was indeed a serious issue and anyone that fell victim was going to be dealt with dastardly.
  • Just like Opula, Fanny paced up and down, his flute of wine handy, waiting for the security to proffer results. More than every other thing, I was more particularly interested in my husband’s safety than the missing diamond. He was still ranting at the tops of his lungs at the time and I wished he could avoid the security and vice versa. I didn’t want anyone to hurt him in any way.
