• Worry subsided to sorrow as Opula waited for Rod at the cocktail café. By now, she was sure the nervous sweat had expunged the makeup on her face. She wondered what could be keeping him and to worsen it his phone lines weren’t reachable.
• Opula had never been so scared and nervous; this time she was standing at the window to stare outside at another time she was outside to see if the young man in tuxedo was Rod.
• Time was slowly gliding into late hour and Rod was yet to show up. This wasn’t what she agreed with him. They had agreed to meet at 9 PM and right now it was few minutes to midnight.
