  • Through his glasses the judge glared at Doctor Bernard and finally turned his gaze to Ken’s lawyer.
  • “Counsel,” he called, “Did you mention the doctor as witness against the Fanny’s? I have checked your petition and there is nothing like Doctor Bernard being mentioned as witness,” he queried and returned his gaze on Doctor Bernard whose eyes held fury.
  • The lawyer shook his head in disapproval and inwardly decided to mention him now if he would be availed such opportunity, “My lord I didn’t mention him as witness because I thought he was dead. Everyone thought same thing too, after we witness the murder. I never knew he was alive.”
