- Carl walked around my bedroom, touching ornaments, picking up picture frames, and gliding his fingers over the modern furniture. For someone who wanted to talk, he was as quiet as the night that descended on Santa Monica. The curtains were still open and the moonlight caused the pink crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling to glimmer and sparkle like diamonds.
- “I’ve always imagined myself here with you.” Carl sprawled out on a black leather armchair next to the nightstand and leaned back, clasping his hands behind his neck as he gazed around my dramatic pink and black room, with its bright pink bedding and black paneled walls. “I always imagined sneaking into your room and worshiping your sweet, beautiful body until we both fell asleep from exhaustion. Then sneaking out again before your mother wakes up…”
