• That Wednesday morning, when I confidently strode across the corridors, I was the live, breathing, walking, and talking version of the saying, ’You can’t keep a good woman down.’
• Last night, Remy had told me to take my power back and for once, the bad boy spoke sense. I was done cowering and hiding from everyone. I hadn’t done anything wrong.
