Chapter 16 She Is My Fiancée

• At that moment, a voice was heard from behind. "Who said I screwed up?" As everyone looked at the source of the voice, they saw Selena showing up along with Rowan right behind her. When Leah saw that, she was left in disbelief, wondering how Selena was able to convince the star.
• After all, all her attempts to persuade Rowan had failed despite paying countless visits to Stardust Entertainment and even offering him the highest price. What did Selena do to change Rowan's mind?
• Selena smiled and walked into the office, calmly replying, "Where is your sense of shame, Miss Olsen? When you failed to close the deal with Rowan, you thought you could put me in trouble by making me take on the responsibility. Here you are, telling everyone that I 'insisted' on taking the matter to my own hands. How is that fair to me?"
• As soon as Selena made herself heard, every other bystander clicked their tongues with a frown on their faces, wondering if Leah really did force Selena to handle that matter.
• "What did you just say, Serena?" Leah's face darkened, for she didn't expect Selena to show up at that time. Thus, she quickly changed the subject and asked, "Mr. Gregory, did you agree to be our spokesman?" When Rowan nodded casually in response, Leah went on to say, "Please come with me, Mr. Gregory and Mr. Hayden. I'll get the contract ready in a second."
• "There's no need for that. I would like Serena to handle all the arrangements, including the shooting details." Rowan finished his words just as Dimitri squinted his eyes and secretly peeked at the former in an ambiguous manner.
• In the meantime, Leah's smile stiffened as she tried to question Selena's capability. "But Serena has no idea…"
• "What? Serena is prettier and more capable than you are, though!"
• Seeing the bitter look on Leah's face, Selena nearly failed to keep a straight face. In the end, Dimitri looked at Leah and said, "Get the contract ready."
• Not long after that, all employees dispersed and returned to their seats while feeling gleeful for Leah's humiliation. After all, they were happy that someone was finally able to teach her a lesson for being insolent and arrogant. On the other hand, Leah only glared at Selena in a hateful manner, clenching her fists as she swore to have her revenge on her. I'm going to make you pay, Serena!
• Soon, Rowan and Dimitri entered the meeting room and signed the contract. When they were done, it was about time to leave work. Then, Rowan walked up to Selena and asked, "Hey, Serena, let's grab dinner together. I know a new restaurant with some awesome food in the city."
• Although Selena was about to turn him down, she changed her mind when she caught sight of Dimitri standing beside her. Thus, she made sure he heard her and said, "Yeah, sounds good."
• Unaware of the relationship between Selena and Dimitri, Rowan was looking forward to a thrilling car race after their dinner. What an awesome way to spend the night! However, his mood was quickly ruined when he heard the man's unhappy voice. "No."
• Rowan turned around in confusion, asking, "Wait, what? Why? Does Selena still have work to do? Come on, Mr. Hayden. Do me a favor and let her call it a day."
• "Yeah, why not?" Selena smiled and asked.
• "Grandpa is coming, and he wants to see you."
• Selena squinted in bewilderment, wondering if Dimitri was telling the truth. Wait, that can’t be true, right? Why does this sound like a bluff? Are you trying to fool me with the same excuse that I used on you last night?
• On the other hand, Rowan, who had no idea what was going on, became even more confused upon hearing Dimitri's response. Grandpa? What the heck is going on? Why must she be back when Mr. Hayden's grandpa visits? What's he talking about?
• "Mr. Hayden, are you and Serena…?"
• "She is my fiancée. Mr. Gregory, please enjoy your evening. We should meet up some other day for dinner." As soon as Dimitri finished his words, he seized Selena's hand and left the office.
• Meanwhile, Rowan could only watch in confusion as the couple left, still confused with the shocking revelation. What did Mr. Hayden just say? Serena is his fiancée? Did I just hear something else? He just said that Serena is his fiancée! What?!
