Chapter 47 Confession In The Ladies' Room
- I tried to make out the buzzing in my phone. And, no it did not stop. Another text, another alert.
- I stepped down from the crowd, my heart beating in my chest. I could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on me, indeed if I could not see them. This was not some silly rumour presently; this was a full-bloated reproach, and ever, I was right in the middle. I demanded to get out of the room. I demanded an alternate. Or perhaps I just demanded a whole damn hour to reuse everything.
- I went into the restroom, my heels clicking smoothly on the tile floor with every step, and that did not help block anything out moreover. I opened the door, went outside, and locked it behind me. I leaned against the cool wall and took a jouncing breath.
